Dubai Financial Market (DFM), established in 2000, is one of the United Arab Emirates’ leading securities exchanges and an integral part of the Middle Eastern capital market ecosystem. As a core component of Dubai’s financial infrastructure, DFM provides financing, listing, and trading services across a wide range of securities and asset classes, including equities, bonds, REITs, and ETFs. It has become a key platform for major local issuers as well as international companies pursuing dual listings, playing a vital role in supporting regional capital formation and economic development. The DFM General Index, serving as the flagship benchmark, reflects the overall market performance.

In August 2024, Shenzhen Stock Exchange and DFM jointly hosted the “China-UAE(Dubai) Capital Market Cooperation Seminar” in Dubai and signed a memorandum of understanding on collaboration. The two exchanges will deepen cooperation in the development of indices, ETFs, and other products, explore cross-market index systems and innovative investment and financing tools, and promote greater connectivity and resource sharing between the Chinese and UAE capital markets. This partnership aims to meet cross-border allocation needs for bilateral investors and build a multi-layered, sustainable index cooperation framework.
