The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), established in 1975, operates within the Southeast Asian capital market system. As one of the most active and diverse securities trading platforms in the region, SET offers a wide range of asset classes, including stocks and derivatives, while maintaining a market structure that serves various investors and corporations. Committed to sustainability, the exchange encourages listed companies to enhance their ESG disclosures, aiming to strengthen the market’s long-term appeal and global competitiveness. The SET Index, SET50 Index, and SETTHSI Index include the performance of the overall market, blue-chip companies, and sustainable investment trends, respectively.
In 2023, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) and SET initiated an index data dissemination cooperation, further strengthening the promotion and application of SZSE indices in the ASEAN market. The SETTRADE platform, under SET, now displays six representative SZSE indices, including the Shenzhen Component Index, ChiNext Index, Shenzhen 100, CNI A50, CNI 2000, and Bay Area Innovation 100. Simultaneously, the CNI official website began showcasing the SET Index, SET50 Index, and SETTHSI Index. This collaboration marks another significant achievement in the deepening partnership between SZSE and SET in the index domain, following the memoranda of understanding signed in 2009 and 2019. Both exchanges will continue to expand cross-border index dissemination, joint index development, and product collaboration mechanisms, fostering greater connectivity between the Chinese and Thai capital markets and providing regional investors with a broader range of index tools.
SET Index is a composite index which represents the price movement for all common stocks trading on the SET.
